Reedley is a city located in Fresno County, California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 24,194, up from 21,382 at the 2000 census. Reedley is located in the San Joaquin Valley, 22 miles east-southeast of Fresno.
The city bills itself as “The World’s Fruit Basket” due to the large diversity of fruit and nut crops grown in the area, including grapes, peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, almonds, pistachios, and walnuts.
Reedley is home to a large Mennonite community. The city has a campus of Reedley College, part of the State Center Community College District.
The Reedley Historic District, which includes several blocks of G Street and several adjacent residential streets, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
