Grand Terrace is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 12,040 at the 2010 census, up from 11,626 at the 2000 census. Grand Terrace is located between Highgrove and Colton, along the 215 and 110 freeways.
The city incorporated on October 30, 1987. Grand Terrace is situated between two mountain ridges: Blue Mountain to the east and the La Loma Hills to the west. The city borders San Bernardino and Loma Linda.
Grand Terrace’s roots go back to Mexican land grants dating from the 1830s. The city’s name comes from the Spanish word for “large terrace”, a type of patio. Grand Terrace was originally an agricultural community, with walnuts, grapes and citrus trees.
The city has a historic downtown area with antique stores, craft stores and restaurants. There is also a Community Center with a recreation room, gymnasium and banquet facilities. The Lewis Family Playhouse is a local theater. The city also has a farmers market on Thursdays.
Grand Terrace is home to several schools, including Blue Mountain Elementary School, Grand Terrace Elementary School, Terrace Hills Middle School, Grand Terrace High School and Crafton Hills College.

The racial makeup of Magnolia Center was 5,874 (54.1%) White, 661 (6.1%) African American, 82 (0.8%) Native American, 719 (6.6%) Asian, 34 (0.3%) Pacific Islander, 2,917 (26.9%) from other races, and 414 (3.8%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5,366 persons (49.4%).
