City Cupertino, California is a city in Santa Clara County, California, United States, and is the home of Cupertino, the headquarters of Apple Inc. The city’s population was 58,302 as of the 2010 census.
Cupertino was founded by John T. Doyle in 1955. The city was named after Arroyo San Jose de Cupertino (now Stevens Creek). The first Cupertino school was built in 1956.
The city has a Mediterranean climate and average temperatures range from cool to warm, with occasional hot days in the summer.
Cupertino is home to De Anza College. The Cupertino Union School District operates fifteen elementary schools, five middle schools, and three high schools.
The city is served by the Cupertino Shuttle, a free bus service that runs throughout the city.
Cupertino is home to many high-tech companies, including Apple Inc., Hewlett-Packard, and Symantec. The city is also home to the Cupertino campus of De Anza College.

Monta Vista was originally a Spanish land grant called Rancho Rinconada de Los Gatos. The Monta Vista area was rural until the 1950s when it was developed for housing. The name “Monta Vista” means “view of the mountains” in Spanish.
The Monta Vista CDP is located in the eastern foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, west of Cupertino and north of Los Altos. The CDP includes the Monta Vista neighborhood and the neighborhoods of Rancho Rinconada and Cuernavaca.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.8 square miles (12.4 km2), all of it land.

5. De Anza
De Anza, California is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 12,462 at the 2010 census. It is named for the Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza.
De Anza is located on the Rancho San Ramon land grant given to Joaquin Ysidro Sanchez in 1834 by Mexican governor Jose Figueroa. Sanchez later sold the land to John T. Reed in 1841.
Reed built a house on the property which still stands today, and is now a museum known as the John T. Reed Home. Reed also built a sawmill and a flour mill, which were later destroyed by fire.
In the early 1900s, the area was developed into a resort known as the De Anza Hotel and Bath House. The hotel was closed in the mid-1920s and the property was eventually subdivided and developed into residential neighborhoods.
The city of De Anza was incorporated in 1956.
De Anza is located in the foothills of the Diablo Range, about 30 miles east of San Francisco. The climate is mild, with average temperatures ranging from the low 50s in winter to the mid-70s in summer.
The city is home to several parks, including Memorial Park, which features a war memorial, a playground, and picnic areas. The De Anza Community Center offers a variety of recreational facilities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a gymnasium.
De Anza is also home to the De Anza College, a two-year community college that is part of the California Community Colleges system. The college serves approximately 22,000 students and offers a variety of academic and vocational programs.

7. Stevens Creek
Stevens Creek is a town in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 2,362 at the 2010 census. It is named after Mount Stevens, which was named after John Stevens, a California surveyor.
The town of Stevens Creek is located in a valley between the Diablo Range to the east and the Santa Cruz Mountains to the west. The valley was originally inhabited by the Ohlone people, and Stevens Creek is named after the creek that runs through the valley.
In 1833, John Stevens, a California surveyor, was the first European to settle in the valley. Stevens built a sawmill and a gristmill, and the town of Stevens Creek soon grew up around these mills.
The town was originally called “Stevens Creek Mills”, but the name was shortened to “Stevens Creek” in 1858.
The town was a stop on the Butterfield Overland Mail stagecoach route, and later on the Southern Pacific Railroad.
In the early 20th century, Stevens Creek was a resort town, with several hotels and a casino. The casino was destroyed by a fire in 1914, and the hotels were all demolished by the end of the century.
Today, Stevens Creek is a bedroom community for the cities of San Jose and Palo Alto. The town is home to a number of high-tech companies, including Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies.
The Stevens Creek Trail, a 7.5-mile (12.1 km) long trail for pedestrians and cyclists, runs along Stevens Creek from Cupertino to Mountain View.
