Citrus Heights is a city in Sacramento County, California, USA. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 83,301, down from 85,071 at the 2000 census. Citrus Heights is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The city incorporated in 1997, becoming the fifth city in Sacramento County.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 14.2 square miles (36.7 km2), all of it land.
Citrus Heights is bordered by Antelope to the north, Orangevale to the northeast, Fair Oaks to the southeast, Carmichael to the southwest, and Sacramento to the west.

Arden-Arcade is bordered by the city of Sacramento to the west, the unincorporated community of Rio Linda to the north, Carmichael to the east, and Orangevale and Citrus Heights to the south.

Carmichael is bordered by Citrus Heights to the north, Arden-Arcade to the south, Rancho Cordova to the east, and Fair Oaks to the west.
The 2010 United States Census reported that Carmichael had a population of 61,762. The racial makeup of Carmichael was 49,777 (80.8%) White, 1,346 (2.2%) African American, 554 (0.9%) Native American, 1,289 (2.1%) Asian, 119 (0.2%) Pacific Islander, 4,498 (7.3%) from other races, and 2,669 (4.3%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 11,304 persons (18.3%).
