Chino Hills is a city located in the southwestern corner of San Bernardino County, California, United States. The city borders Los Angeles County to the west and Orange County to the east. The city is located about 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and about 22 miles northwest of Santa Ana, the county seat of Orange County.
The city was incorporated in 1991. The population as of the 2010 census was 74,799. The city’s name derives from the fact that the California town once sat on the historic Rancho Santa Ana del Chino, a Mexican land grant from the late eighteenth century.
Chino Hills is home to the Vellano Country Club, a private golf course and country club. The city also has a public golf course, Los Serranos Country Club, which has hosted the PGA Tour and the LPGA Tour.
