Yorba Linda Estates is located in the northeastern corner of Yorba Linda, at the junction of California State Route 91 and California State Route 55.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.8 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 3,054 people, 1,061 households, and 897 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,837.8 inhabitants per square mile (1,095.3/km2). There were 1,085 housing units at an average density of 1,003.2 per square mile (387.1/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 85.62% White, 0.66% African American, 0.23% Native American, 2.54% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 8.27% from other races, and 2.65% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 18.01% of the population.
There were 1,061 households, out of which 35.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.9% were married couples living together, 6.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.0% were non-families. 11.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.86 and the average family size was 3.13.
In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 25.9% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 29.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 102.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.4 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $85,041, and the median income for a family was $89,583. Males had a median income of $60,313 versus $40,625 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $33,875. About 0.9% of families and 1.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.1% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over.
