The 2010 United States Census reported that Lahontan had a population of 1,759. The racial makeup of Lahontan was 1,603 (91.0%) White, 19 (1.1%) African American, 35 (2.0%) Native American, 25 (1.4%) Asian, 0 (0.0%) Pacific Islander, 48 (2.7%) from other races, and 29 (1.6%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 190 persons (10.8%).
