Carson is a city located in Los Angeles County, California. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 91,714. Carson is located approximately 13 miles (21 km) south of downtown Los Angeles and approximately 14 miles away from the Los Angeles International Airport.
Carson is known for its strong commitment to public safety and for being one of the safest cities in Los Angeles County. The city’s crime rate is consistently lower than the surrounding areas and the city has been ranked as one of the “100 Best Communities for Young People” by America’s Promise.
